Paradies Lagardère Celebrates Opening of Five New Locally Inspired Retail Concepts at Portland International Airport

New stores showcase Portland’s culture, community and craftsmanship through iconic local brands and regional products

ATLANTA (August 26, 2026) – Paradies Lagardère, a leading North American travel retailer and restaurateur, celebrated the grand opening of five new retail concepts at Portland International Airport (PDX): The Skanner News, Sheridan Fruit Company, Market 503, Rose City Market and Cascade Market. Together, the stores create a distinctly Portland sense of place, connecting travelers with the people, stories, and experiences that make the region unique.

Developed in partnership with the Port of Portland, the new concepts highlight iconic local institutions, celebrated artisans and Oregon-made products while delivering the convenience and service travelers expect. From the rich legacy of The Skanner News and the century-old tradition of Sheridan Fruit Company to the city pride embodied by Market 503, the natural beauty reflected in Cascade Market and Portland’s renowned rose heritage celebrated through Rose City Market, each location is designed to immerse travelers in the spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

“PDX reflects our region with pride in everything we do. Our partnership with Paradies Lagardère continues in that tradition, connecting travelers to more brands and products created right here in the Pacific Northwest,” said Port of Portland Chief Aviation Officer Dan Pippenger. “We’re excited to welcome even more local brands with deep community roots to PDX.”

“We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with Portland International Airport by creating retail experiences that celebrate the local community in meaningful ways,” said Gregg Paradies, CEO of Paradies Lagardère. “These concepts honor Portland’s heritage, culture and entrepreneurial spirit while providing travelers with engaging shopping destinations that can only be found at PDX.”

The stores feature a curated assortment of products from local makers and brands, including Pan’s Mushroom Jerky, a Portland-made plant-based snack enjoyed by food lovers nationwide; Moonstruck Chocolates, the beloved Portland chocolatier known for its handcrafted confections; HAB Sauce, a small-batch hot sauce crafted in nearby Beaverton; Amity Artisan Goods, a community gift shop representing artists from underserved communities; Portland Bee Balm, which creates sustainably sourced products using Pacific Northwest beeswax; and Little Bay Root, whose locally made apparel and accessories celebrate the independent spirit of the Pacific Northwest.

The new openings further enhance the airport’s commitment to delivering locally inspired concepts, giving travelers a meaningful way to engage with Portland’s culture before takeoff.
