Paradies Lagardère CIO Shirl Stroeing Finalist for 2019 Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE® Award

ATLANTA – Paradies Lagardère is happy to announce that Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Shirl Stroeing was announced as a finalist for the 2019 Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE Award. With more than 125 nominations submitted this year, Shirl is among five finalists in the Global category.

The Georgia CIO of the Year ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in Georgia, and for more than 20 years the awards have recognized technology executives for leadership, innovation and excellence. An initiative of the Georgia CIO Leadership Association, GeorgiaCIO is the preeminent professional association for Georgia chief information officers. GeorgiaCIO is one of 12 chapters in the Inspire CIO Leadership Network (InspireCIO), a national professional association comprised exclusively of CIOs (or equivalent executive roles) from public and private companies, government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations.

“Congratulations to Shirl on this well-deserved recognition from GeorgiaCIO!” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “We couldn’t be prouder of her, as this honors her considerable contributions and achievements to the tech industry, as well as through her role here at Paradies Lagardère.”

ORBIE award finalists must hold the title of chief information officer or an equivalent senior IT executive position, be a member of senior management, and primarily responsible for the IT operations of an organization or subsidiary based in Georgia.

Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients based on demonstrated leadership and management effectiveness, business value created by technology innovation, the size and scope of his or her responsibilities, and engagement in industry and community endeavors.
