Three Local Restaurants Open at Denver International Airport

DENVER – Aug. 21, 2019 – Today, three local favorites celebrated their arrival to Denver International Airport: Breckenridge Brewery, Snarf’s Sandwiches and Brother’s BBQ. The restaurants’ new home is located on the east end of Concourse A.

“We’re committed to working with our local business community to bring unique shopping and dining options to our world-class airport that represent who we are as a city,” said Mayor Michael B. Hancock. “The addition of these three great local restaurants will showcase some of the best flavors from Colorado and the Mile High City.”

The three brands were brought to DEN in collaboration with Paradies Lagardère, a longtime DEN concessionaire and their ACDBE partner, Sky Blue Airport Enterprises.

“Snarf’s Sandwiches and Brothers BBQ are dining institutions, and Breckenridge Brewery is a pioneer in the Colorado craft beer industry. We’re excited to bring these local favorites into the airport,” said Regynald Washington, president, Paradies Lagardère Dining Division. “Paradies Lagardère seeks the best local brands to entice travelers and bring the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favorite local restaurant into an airport.”

Passengers can find these great dining options near gates A71 -A87. These gates were completed in 2018 but became fully operational in May when United began operating many of its regional flights from this location. The gate hold rooms include outlets and cup holders at each seat and larger charging stations. In addition to the dining options, passengers can also purchase snacks, gifts, souvenirs and personal care items at the CNBC Smartshop located in the area.

In addition to the new gates on Concourse A, DEN is adding 39 new gates to all three concourses to accommodate growth by our airlines. The gate expansion project is part of DEN’s five-year capital improvement plan and is scheduled to be completed in 2021.

“Providing passengers with a taste of Denver and supporting our local brands is important to us as we want our passengers to have options,” said DEN Chief Executive Officer Kim Day. “As the airport continues to grow and we construct additional gates, we will have more space for great shopping and dining options such as these three local favorites.”

Additional Quotes from our Partners

“We are honored to be a part of the operations at Denver International Airport. After sharing our brews with our Colorado neighbors over the last 29 years, we are excited to extend the Breckenridge Brewery experience to the millions of travelers that grace the gates of DEN every year,” said Joe Porter, director of Pub Operations, Breckenridge Brewery. “We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with Paradies Lagardère and hope we can continue growing our relationship in the years to come.“

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of DEN. As local small business owners, exposing our product and brand to millions of travelers and thousands of airport employees is a huge leap forward from the little store we opened on the corner of Monaco and Leetsdale back in 1998.  We look forward to many years of a successful partnership,” said Nick and Chris O’Sullivan, founders of Brothers BBQ.

“Snarf’s Sandwiches is proud to be born and bred in Colorado. We are excited to offer travelers from around the world a chance to enjoy our handcrafted, oven-toasted sandwiches. Our passion lies in creating exceptional and memorable sandwiches. We do this by using only the finest ingredients including premium hand-sliced meats and cheeses, crisp veggies, our own signature blend of giardiniera peppers, and our famous oven-toasted bread,” said from Jimmy “Snarf” Seidel, owner of Snarf’s Sandwiches.

About Snarf’s Sandwiches
Snarf’s set out on their mission to create the world’s finest sandwich when it opened its first location in Boulder, Colorado in 1996, in what is affectionately referred to as "The Shack." Since then, the family-owned business, founded by Jimmy "Snarf" Seidel, has grown to more than 20 restaurants in Boulder, Denver, Austin and St. Louis. Famous for its hearty, oven-toasted subs, Snarf’s is a frequent "Best Sandwich" winner and has an unprecedented following in its local communities. Since the beginning, their highest priority has been quality and service. They hand-select everything on the menu and craft each sandwich with their signature bread recipe, premium ingredients and their own blend of giardiniera hot peppers.

Each Snarf’s restaurant is unique to its location and community from the building, to the furniture, to the incredible custom mosaics and artwork created by Colorado artist Jen Haley. In many cases Snarf’s takes an existing building and restores it, as opposed to starting from scratch. Jimmy doesn’t like anything to be "cookie cutter" so each location is infused with custom, eclectic décor and design that creates the hip vibe for which Snarf’s is known.
