Univision and Lavazza Lead Brand Mix with Local, National and International Appeal

Paradies, the nation’s leading concessionaire with more than 50 years of experience operating retail and food and beverage concepts in airports, received an award of three spaces at Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) as a part of the airport’s Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP), which started in early 2011. Concepts include local favorite Southwest News, Paradies proprietary brand The Range and the first-ever Univision travel essentials store which will feature internationally known Lavazza Coffee.

“The stated goal for DFW’s TRIP is to improve and redefine the overall travel experience by enhancing concessions,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO of Paradies.  “As such, we are extremely excited to continue our long-term relationship with DFW by offering these new concepts as well as our award-winning customer service program that has received top honors in the industry for 18 years.”

With an exclusive partnership, Paradies and Univision Network – the fifth largest network in the U.S. – will introduce a new Univision travel essential concept offering a wide selection of local, national and international news, magazines and best-selling books, as well as beverages, HBA items, travel/electronic accessories, gourmet snacks, local gifts, and regional apparel. Also available will be merchandise promoting Univision’s partnerships with CONCACAF and Liga MX, one of the top 10 soccer leagues in the world.

This concept also features Espression by Lavazza, which offers specialty coffees such as espressos, iced mochas and Americanos as well as freshly made pastries and delicious grab-and-go sandwiches and salads.

Capturing the legendary essence of Texas, The Range showcases authentic cowboy hats and genuine boots, belt buckles and accessories from Stetson, Ryan Michael, Lucchese and Brighton Collectibles.

With five current locations at DFW, Southwest News finalizes this new brand mix and will offer traveler staples such as newspapers, magazines, paperbacks, cold beverages, electronic accessories and HBA items. Local gifts and regional gourmet snacks promoting the “Go Texan” ideal will also be available.

For more than 35 years, Paradies has delivered exceptional local, national and originally developed shopping and dining experiences to DFW travelers.
