El Paso, Texas – Paradies Lagardère has opened a new Retail Store, El Paso Marketplace, located in Concourse A at El Paso International Airport (ELP). In addition to the usual snacks and drinks available at an airport retail establishment, The El Paso Marketplace will carry gourmet snacks, gifts and apparel that are unique to the region.
The Airport’s entire Concourse A Improvements and Restroom Expansion will cost the airport $3.2 M and is funded by a Passenger Facility Charge and will have no impact to local property taxpayers. In 2015, El Paso City Council approved the Concourse A Improvements and Restroom Expansion to meet the increase in passenger usage after American Airlines and US Airways merged. The extensive list of airport improvements includes doubling the size of the current restrooms, adding floor-to-ceiling windows, lounge seating, lighting improvements, and a nursing room, among others. It is expected to be completed early 2017.
This project supports the City’s strategic goal to promote the visual image of El Paso and to create an environment conductive to strong, sustainable economic development.
